Girls softball has been a varsity sport at East Paulding High School in Dallas, Georgia since 1994. The Raiders have had a successful history, winning 11 region championships and making 10 appearances in the state playoffs.

The Raiders’ first region championship came in 1999, when they were led by pitcher Lauren Arnett. Arnett went on to play softball at the University of Georgia. The Raiders won their second region championship in 2003, and their third in 2006.

The Raiders’ most successful era came in the late 2000s and early 2010s. They won four region championships in a row from 2008 to 2011, and they made three appearances in the state playoffs. In 2010, the Raiders reached the state quarterfinals for the first time in school history.

The Raiders have continued to be competitive in recent years. They won region championships in 2016 and 2019, and they made appearances in the state playoffs in both years. In 2019, the Raiders reached the state semifinals for the first time since 2010. The team again won the region in 2022 and 2023. The Raiders are a perennial contender in the Georgia High School 6A Region 5.
